The meeting will be held jointly with the ARCPATH annual meeting. ARCPATH: Arctic Climate Predictions – Pathways to Resilient, Sustainable Societies, is a Nordic Centre of Excellence funded by NordForsk for the period 2016-2020.

    Venue:

  • Day 0 (14.10.2017) – ARCPATH-GREENICE session in meeting room RIMA A of the Harpa Conference Center, Reykjavík, Iceland. Updated info at www.arcticcircle.org.
  • Day 1 (16.10.2017) – conference room at the Nordic House, Sæmundargata 11, 101 Reykjavík. You may choose to have lunch there or at the Háma cafeteria (see Day 2) a short walking distance away.
  • Day 2 (17.10.2017) – room HT-303 on the third floor of the building “Háskólatorg” of the University of Iceland.
    Lunch will take place at the Háma cafeteria, one floor down from the meeting room. Address and map.
  • Day 3 (18.10.2017) – ARCPATH management meeting at room G-215 on 2nd floor of the building “Gímli” of the University of Iceland. Address and map.
    How to get there
    From KEF airport, a great option is the flybus: https://www.re.is/flybus/.
    The buses are scheduled to leave the airport according to flight arrivals (and will adapt to delayed flights); and from the city they depart every 30min between 2:00am and 22:30. The journey takes around 45 min. You can take the bus to/from the central bus stop (4500 ISK return) or to/from your guesthouse/hotel/apartment/university (5500 ISK return ticket). The latter involves a guided transfer to a smaller shuttle at the central bus station. More info on their website.
    Money:
    Icelandic people mainly use cards. If you feel more comfortable having a bit of cash with you, use a cash machine once you are in Reykjavik. All taxis, buses, restaurants, shops usually prefer cards. Don’t forget your pin number!
    Tipping is not expected in Iceland, not even in taxis.
    Water:
    Icelandic water is one of the best in the world so please consider your health and the environment and do not buy bottled water.
